Cocacao

Cocacao is a delicious treat made by a Portland company led by the sweetest husband and wife team. Their product was often mistaken for a baking ingredient rather than a sweet treat, leading it to get lost on store shelves. To address this, I collaborated with a Creative Director to create a mood board that explored various branding directions for Cocacao. Focusing on the simplicity of the ingredients, we chose to highlight each flavor with bold color combinations to make them stand out in grocery stores. I developed multiple packaging designs, and together with another designer, we created print-ready die-cuts for each flavor.

Cocacao is proudly vegan, gluten-free, paleo, USDA-certified organic, and made from only a handful of natural ingredients. Our goal was to communicate all that dietary specialness in a way that pops off the shelf and faithfully embodies the big bright beautiful joy inside every bite of Cocacao.
